Day 2

Monday morning saw Theo and I dodging traffic to run across the street to the Noble building. I am not sure why, but apparently, Atlanta is not very fond of pedestrians. All of the sidewalks we encountered were horribly maintained (except for those on the perimeter of the Perimeter Mall). To add to the excitement, they aren't particularly fond of crosswalks or crosswalk signals either. So I quickly regained my London reflexes and learned to dodge traffic to get to my intended destination. Theo was in step with me, but not quite so happy to be putting his life on the line for training, lunch, etc. The training was started as most trainings do, with the obligatory introductions, waiting in rooms while staring at propaganda screens and an overview of what training was going to cover. About the time we had covered the obligatories, my bank called to inform me of the previous day's fraud fun and card shutdown. Of course, this put me in a wonderfully great mood for the rest of the day.

We broke for lunch and dodged impending four lane doom to get back to the hotel so we could get a ride over to a food area. The shuttle left within a couple of minutes and we were dropped off next a bunch of restaurants, finally deciding on Cheeseburger in Paradise. The food was almost an exact clone of Islands, though I have to say the fries were considerably better, and wonderfully gratis.
